Project Description:

Cerebral aneurysms are abnormal swellings of blood vessels in the brain. Rupture of such aneurysms leads to massive internal bleeding, resulting in permanent disability or even death. Roughly, 400 deaths in Hong Kong per year result from such rupture, and another 400 disabilities require long term rehabilitation. This project aims to use state-of-the-art simulation method to assess the risk of cerebral aneurysm. The simulation results are of reference value for clinicians in planning the clinical treatment.
