Mr. Petrie Wong is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Hong Kong. He received the B.Sc. Degree in Computing from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2011, the M.Phil. Degree in computer science from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2014. From 2011-2014, he was a teaching and research assistant at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. From 2014, he is a teaching assistant at The University of Hong Kong. Academically, Mr. Wong has published in various international conference proceedings.In 2015, he has been awarded the Li Po Chun Postgraduate Scholarship. The scholarship awarded to selected full–time research postgraduate students in the University of Hong Kong on the basis of academic merit. Socially, Mr. Wong served as a student representative on the Department of Computing, the Faculty Board and the Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee in the Hong Kong Polytechnic Unversity from 2009 to 2010. From 2012 to 2014, he served as a senior hall tutor in Red Hall, the Homantin Halls of Residence, the Hong Kong Polytechnic Unversity. From 2014 to 2015, he served as a student representative in the Department of Computer Science, the Unversity of Hong Kong. He has also awarded six prizes for his community service in person or as a team member in years between 2008 to 2011. Mr. Wong’s research interests include database management systems, machine learning and modern computer architecture.
