Project Title:

De novo transcriptome analysis

Project Description:

The de novo transcriptome is to sequence the transcriptome of an unknown organism using high-throughput sequencing technology. In order to get biological knowledge of the organism, systematic and intensive analysis of the sequence data is required

Project Duration:

2 years

Project Significance:

The project has three major parts:

  • high throughout sequencing of the target tissue of the organism,
  • de novo assembly,
  • and gene prediction.
  • The de novo gene prediction for the organism is important for enrichment of current genome database and also provides the foundation for novel disease identification.
