Dennis Y. C. Leung received his B.Sc. (Eng.) in 1982 and Ph.D. in 1988 from
the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the University of Hong Kong. After
obtaining his Ph.D., he worked for the Hong Kong Electric Co. Ltd. as an
Environmental Engineer. He returned back to HKU in 1993 as a lecturer and
course co-ordinator of environmental engineering. He is currently an
Associate Professor with expertise in air pollution control, dispersion
modeling and energy conversion. Dr. Leung is a chartered and registered
professional engineer, a fellow of IMechE, Institute of Energy and HK
Institute of Acoustic, and a corporate member of HKIE. He is the past
Chairman of the Institute of Energy (HK Branch), an editor of the HKIE
Transactions, and a regional editor of the Journal of Global Environmental
