Band structure engineering of thermoelectric materials

Project Description: 

Thermoelectric materials performance can be indirectly seen from band structure and density of state. To improve the performance of the materials, different dopant will be added at different amount. The effect of doping will be evaluated to generate optimal result.
This project is based on VASP calculation, by obtaining band structure, doping effect on thermoelectric property can be explained.

Thermoelectric devices are significant energy conversion agents. It is important to study its performance to continue research new method to improve the efficiency.
Remarks: 
First-principle approach is used for this project. Band structure and density of states are calculated using VASP on HPC.
