Theorectical Search for New Phase in Pb-Te Binary System
Project Description:
The discovery of a new material usually requires many years. With recent rapid developments in computational materials science, the search for new materials through computational modeling has become practical. In this project, I will perform computational searches for new materials exhibiting novel properties. And I will predict stable crystal structures using simulation methods at the electronic and atomic levels.
Project Duration:
09/2015 to 08/2016
Project Significance:
A new stable Phase in Pb-Te binary system will be found under high pressure. I will analyse its properties and predict its function in the material science. This will help to develop the material science.
Remarks:
HPC will make the calculation faster and do more analysis in my project. It is significance to use HPC to calculate the structures and properties of new materials.
