Molecular design of new classes of phosphorescent d8 metal complexes with long-lived emissive excited states and application studies in photo-catalysis, luminescent sensors, and molecular self-assembly
Project Description:
This project is to design new classes of phosphorescent d8 metal complexes with long-lived emissive excited states, and to use various avaiable spectroscopic methods integrated with theoretical calculation to charaterize in detail the dynamics, structures, and electronic properties of the excited state with a purpose for exploring their application in photo-catalysis, luminescent sensors, and molecular self-assembly.
